Me and the boyfriend created a good sized no-dig market garden at a farm we lived at for about a couple of years.
It took an incredible amount of work and time to build this organic garden, but I sure learned a lot about what to do and what not to do.
One of the most important lessons that I've learned is that you need nutrient dense soil in order to grow nutrient dense plants in your garden.
Otherwise, you will always be in the weeds so to speak. You'll have more pest and weed pressure because of having deficient soil.
Thankfully my boyfriend had a pretty good amount of knowledge and experience with gardening. However, it was still overwhelming!
The fun part was that we got to plant so many new and exciting varieties of plants that I never even knew existed.
These were some of the most beautiful carrots that we grew during the fall of 2022 and I believe we grew that flashy trout back lettuce during the winter of the previous year.

My journey began when I was about 18 years old and still continues to this day now that I'm 62. Although, I know a lot more than I did then.
My health challenges started during my early teenage years. I'm pretty convinced that it was all the junk food that I ate as a child that resulted in lots of mercury fillings being put into my teeth.
However, cutting down on junk food and removing those toxic filling was only part of my journey back to health.
When I got pregnant and had my daughter I knew that I would have to figure out the whole nutrition thing or it was going to be a nightmare.
And I experimented with many different types of diets to learn the truth.
However, the pinnacle of my journey was when I decided to become a CNA or certified nurses aid for a few years.
What I saw during those few years not only disturbed me, but made me even more determined to learn the "real" truth about nutrition.
I decided that I never wanted to end up sick and trapped like what I had witnessed which is what lead me to discovering what the most nutrient dense foods actually were on this planet for me and my daughter.
In my opinion, look for quality over quantity when it comes to your food every time!
Example: buying meat that comes from cows grazing on pastures all day instead of factory farmed cows that eat toxic feed.
You have to look beyond, "a great sales price" or "buying in bulk" these days. What's the point of eating a lot of meat or anything else that wasn't raised or grown correctly?
Nutrient dense foods will supply the nutrients that your body craves and needs without adding unnecessary toxins that your body will have to get rid of by the way.
Intermittent fasting anyone?
I do believe that is why so many people are into fasting these days.
It's probably because their bodies need a break from all of the toxins and that includes the cooked food toxins!
It's usually because the quality of the food that you are consuming isn't supplying the necessary nutrients to your body or it could be that your not properly digesting your food - or both.
Another reason could be that your not really feeding your body what it truly needs and sometimes your cravings will tell you what your body is lacking.
Did you know there is a big difference between feeding the cells of your body and eating till you feel full?
