Reasons why you need protein: to avoid a deficiency, the "God" code, building blocks, and available protein.

Why you need protein you ask?  Well there are actually quite a few reasons why you need protein.

Did you know that protein is literally the second most important element in your body?

red blood cell

Protein is a macro-nutrient that repairs and maintains every cell in your body.  Did you know your body uses protein to build your hair, skin, nails, bones, muscles, and blood?

Your body also uses protein to make your enzymes, hormones, antibodies, and neurotransmitters.

Protein controls many important processes related to your metabolism, body development, and wound healing.

Basically, you need protein because it provides the amino acids that maintain all of your tissues and it's needed to make new proteins.

And you want to be sure to consume enough protein to avoid any protein deficiency symptoms!

Protein deficiency symptoms: do any of these sound familiar?

  • Lack of Muscle Tissue
  • Flabby Muscles
  • Trouble Building Muscle Mass
  • Sluggish Metabolism
  • Increased Appetite
  • Trouble Losing Weight or Weight Loss
  • Poor Digestibility
  • Diarrhea or Constipation
  • Edema
  • Fatty Liver
  • Poor Concentration
  • Retarded or Slowed Growth
  • Bone Fractures
  • Muscle, Bone, and Joint Pain
  • Loss of Hair and Brittle Nails
  • De-pigmentation of Skin
  • Diminishing of Blood Protein
  • Extreme Fatigue
  • Moodiness and Mood Swings
  • Skin Redness and Flaky Skin
  • Low Immunity and Slow Wound Healing

Did you know that protein doesn't really get stored in your body?

Did you also know that your body makes new proteins everyday from the breakdown of proteins?

That's why the number one reason why you need protein is to supply your body with adequate amounts of amino acids.  Or the amino acids required to build new proteins will have to be obtained by increasing protein destruction from tissues like your muscles!

Did you know that amino acids are needed to make the numerous types of proteins which are necessary for the growth of your body, mind, and spirit?

Your genetic "God" code: spiritual reason why you need protein.

Did you know there is actual research that points to the human body having a genetic "God Code"?

Protein is needed to create the necessary building blocks which are directed by this genetic code.

It has been estimated that the human genetic code has the ability to generate 100,000 to millions of different types of proteins.

The following excerpt was taken from research based on The Keys of Enoch.

"It has taken several decades of research to come to grips with the vastness of the coding mechanisms of human DNA.

Researchers with The Academy for Future Science in the early 1970s affirmed the reality of an actual "code" on the level of our genetic make-up that co-evolves life according to a higher evolutionary plan."

Building blocks of life: amino acids.

Growing a fetus and placenta will place a great demand for more protein on a pregnant woman.  It takes a lot to grow a baby!

I once suffered a miscarriage because I wasn't getting enough protein while being on a raw vegan diet.

Again, why you need protein is because it provides the amino acids which we all need to maintain our tissues and to make new proteins.

Amino acid chains are the actual building blocks for every protein in your body which are composed of various combinations of the amino acids.

Amino acids will connect into chains that can then fold into different shapes like spirals to structure the shape of a protein.

Interestingly, it's the sequence of the amino acids that will determine each protein's unique 3 dimensional structure and its specific job.

Amino acid chains can combine into what seems an unlimited number of configurations to construct the required proteins for your body.

Be aware that food that contains amino acids are not all created equal and can vary in a number of ways such as in digestibility, bio-availability, and amino acid content.

Available protein: structure of protein is very important to building your body!

The structure of protein is incredibly important as to how "available" it will be to build your body.

As previously stated, the human body may have the ability to generate as much as 2 million different types of proteins - which is astounding!

Remember the way a protein functions is very dependent on having the correct shape.

What changes the structure of protein?

Wild caught raw salmon fillets.

These are raw fillets of salmon, but if you apply high heat, acids like alcohol, loads of salt, or radiation to these raw salmon fillets - this will destroy their hydrogen bonds.

This will cause the amino acids found in the raw salmon to fuse together which will prevent the salmon's protein from being fully usable by your body.

I think the term "denatured" is used more often than "coagulated" to describe this type of change in a protein, but there is a difference between the two terms.

When a protein is denatured, it actually means that the protein has lost its original 3D shape and the bonds holding the helix shape of the protein has unraveled.

When a protein is coagulated, the protein strands begin to rejoin with other strands forming a solid mass.

Example: Egg whites that are non-denatured and non-coagulated.

Non-denatured and non-coagulated egg whites.Non-denatured and non-coagulated raw eggs.

Non-denatured and non-coagulated proteins are functional proteins because they have not lost their original shape and they are still soluble in water.

Therefore, this type of protein can be used more easily by your body.

Denatured proteins is what will happen before you can get coagulated proteins.  However, coagulated proteins will be much more visible to the human eye than denatured.

Egg whites that are fully denatured and coagulated.

Totally denatured and coagulated egg white.

Because the egg white's shape has changed into a solid mass, the egg white's protein cannot function the same anymore.

Be aware that cooking food can coagulate up to 50% of the proteins!  Depending on how long and how much heat is applied to that protein.

Why you need protein: bio-available protein!

In order to build the healthiest protein chains there must be enough protein in your diet that's digestible which will give you the amino acids that you need.

In my opinion, bio-available protein will be the most powerful protein to consume.

Bio-available protein will be found in "raw" animal foods and in "raw" seafood that supply 20 or more bio-available amino acids plus other nutrients.

Bio-available proteins should keep your hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, and hemoglobin functioning more properly.

It has been my experience that consuming "raw" animal proteins will not create the same digestive problems as when I consume cooked animal proteins that are coagulated.

Did you know your digestive enzymes will have a much harder time breaking down coagulated proteins into amino acids?

This will put an extra load on your digestive system and you will be inclined to fraction-ate your food by over-salting which I believe is harmful in the long run.

Remember the way a protein functions is very dependent on being in the correct shape.

Bottom line:  if you permanently change a protein's shape by cooking for instance, it will be much harder to get bio-available amino acids to build your body, mind, and spirit.
